The past several months at Wilks & Co., CPA have brought a lot of changes. We are finally in our 3000 square foot building, have most of our storage space rented, and all of our office space rented.
Tax extensions are wrapping up and Stormy and Rachel are working hard to get a new filing system in place for the 2011 tax year. We hope to be very prepared for all of our new clients.
We recently partnered with a company called AdzZoo that helps local businesses have an internet presence on websites such as Google, Facebook, MySpace, CNN.com, Food Network, and many more. This is going to be a very successful venture.
We have had one sad ending in our little family. Our Accounting Specialist, Lorie Smallwood was offered a full-time position through OU and we sadly parted ways with her. She had been with our firm for 5 years. Lorie will be greatly missed, but we wish her the best of luck in her new endeavor.

Tax season...still not over

Sure has been a crazy few weeks around here. April 15th has come and gone and we are still busy as ever. Some people do not know that you can file an extension. That way you will have more time to gather everything that you need and not have to worry about the pressure of filing by the deadline.
We are about to relocate our office. This is a very exciting step for us. There will be a lot more space and some opportunities to rent storage to contractors. We will be launching our website very shortly as well.
Amanda Joy with Joywell Web Designs came by yesterday and took our pictures. I think they turned out VERY well.

a little princess
oh yes, tax season is here!
Hello out there! It's Rachel. I do all of the marketing and admin. work around here. It has been a crazy week already. Tax season has started so we are getting our first few tax clients coming in and filing. Not to mention I am re-vamping our entire marketing technique. I am excited to get our website up and running. Amanda Joy Wells has designed one for us and I cannot wait for you all to see it. Not only that we have an actual LOGO for the first time which is exciting. Her wonderful husband Jason Wells did that for us. :) Tomorrow is BNI (www.bniok.com) and my dad, Andy, (the CPA) is speaking. What a great opportunity for others to hear him and for us to gain some new clients! Well, I have got to get some things ready for our BNI leadership team meeting in the morning. Much more to come...
